Although the weather is starting to warm up during the day, the temperature still drops in the evenings and mornings in the tented settlement, where Syrian refugee families reside, on the outskirts of the Jordanian city of Mafraq near the Syrian border.
To help these families in the camp stay warm and healthy, a team of Everyday Refugees Foundation returned there on March 10 and 11, 2023, with care packages. We brought furry playful face masks for the children as well as handmade hats and scarves for all, knitted by local women, benefitting both the refugees and local communities. Along with the cold weather accessories our team distributed daily hygiene and health products including first aid kits, thermometers, blood pressure monitors, hand sanitizers and others.
