Encourage

Four years ago, Everyday Refugees Foundation launched several projects in Pakistan in support of girls’ education, with the goal to empower and ensure a better future for Afghan refugee girls and boys with many possibilities.
With our project “Education is the Key” our team equipped several makeshift schools on the outskirts of Islamabad, and provided the children with school kits, curriculums and all the necessary items the students need for the full school year. With that we ensured hundreds of Afghan refugee girls and boys have their basic right to education.
Since the end of 2021, up to date, the Foundation has been fully sponsoring and equipping a school for Afghan refugee children on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital.
Now, with our long-term project ‘Encourage’, more than 280 girls and boys are receiving their right to education.
Education is a pillar of our mission and the key to ensuring a better future full of possibilities for each child.
With the summer holidays over, our school children returned to “Encourage” to begin their new school year.
On August 29, 2023, we visited the students on the outskirts of Islamabad. Welcomed the new ones and celebrated the progress of the older students, witnissing first-hand their advancement in Urdu, English and math.
On March 1, 2023, our team returned to “Encourage”, our school for Afghan refugee girls and boys on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital. With close to 150 students the school continues to grow, requiring more seating and supplies for the children. Our team added 12 more desks and stocked the school with more pencils, notebooks, and other academic supplies ensuring the students to their right of education.
As well, our team bought and distributed 70 school uniforms for the girls and 70 for the boys. School uniforms are common both in Pakistan and across the world in many other countries. The uniforms help to create a sense of belonging and community. For the children, in particular, the school uniform offers a feeling of pride and motivation to learn together.
In January 2023, our team headed to our school “Encourage” on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital to see some of the progress of the students.
At “Encourage” more than 135 Afghan refugee girls and boys receive their right to education.
Our ongoing project “Encourage”
In September, we handed a backpack, an annual curriculum, notebooks, pencils and all other necessary items to more than a hundred school girls and boys to begin their school year.
Since the beginning of 2022 Everyday Refugees Foundation has been fully sponsoring a school on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital, ensuring that over 100 Afghan refugee girls and boys are receiving their right to education.
Project “encourage” Is A Long Term Commitment That We Hope To Maintain For Years Ahead.
As the students successfully completed their school year in June 2022, we handed them a trophy during a graduation ceremony to “Encourage” them for the coming year.
Education is a pillar of the Everyday Refugees Foundation’s mission. Education is the key to ensuring a better future full of possibilities for each child.
