Dreams Come True

He has a dream, just like any other child in the world. Dreams can come true, if you work hard, follow your heart and believe in yourself.

Early in March as Myron Nehoda just turned 9-year-old, he put on his red football uniform and headed to a near by park to practice, just like a pro.

Myron, the young Ukrainian refugee boy from Mykolaiv was forced to flee his home on the 3rd of November along with his 33-year-old mother Oleksandra Baraban and his brothers Stanislav and Hnat following a shelling close to their home. Fearing for their lives they fled to neighboring Romania taking refuge in a shelter in Bucharest where they reside up-to-date.

In the middle of November, while we were launching our campaign “together We Can” to help and empower Ukrainian refugees in Romania, our team laid eyes for the first time on Myron, he was enjoying playing football with his brothers at the shelter’s back yard. His talent, passion and determination couldn’t go unnoticed. We had to do something about it and this is when we made sure to enroll him at the local football club FC Dinamo Bucharesti where he is currently pursuing his dream to become a professional footballer.
