Education, a better future
We are delighted to announce that yesterday morning, the 2nd of December 2020, we launched a project in Pakistan to support Afghan refugee children, mostly girls, in makeshift schools on the outskirts of Islamabad. Education is a pillar of our mission and the key to ensure a better future for each child with many possibilities.
Our team handed dozens of school kits to Afghan refugee girls in a makeshift school on the outskirts of the capital. The kit of each girl consists of a schoolbag, an annual curriculum, notebooks, pencils, a small chalkboard and other necessary items.
Saira, a 7-year-old Afghan refugee schoolgirl.
This project is part of our ongoing campaign ‘We are all in this together” that we launched in April to help and support those in need through these challenging times we are all passing through.
Two weeks ago, Muhammed Muheisen a two-time Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist and the founder of Everyday Refugees Foundation, launched a fine art print sale dedicated to support our ongoing campaign and projects. With the proceeds of his flash print sale that he donated, we started this project with the aim to keep it going and help as many children as possible to have their basic right of education.
